Plans and usage

SmartMailing has five plans: Free, Starter, Growth, Scale, and Enterprise. Each plan comes with monthly allowances and a set of included features. You can always see exactly what your plan includes and how much of it you have used, right inside the app.

Where to see your usage​

Your usage appears in two places:

  • The main dashboard. The Subscription card shows your plan name and live meters for the current month.
  • The account page. Open /account (click your avatar in the top bar) and look at the Plan and usage section. This is the fuller view: it adds a breakdown of your email sends and the complete feature list for your plan.

The usage meters​

Each meter shows how much you have used against your plan's monthly allowance, with a progress bar that changes color as you get close to the limit. Meters that do not apply to your plan are hidden. The meters are:

  • AI generations this month. Template builds and website URL extractions share one monthly pool. Every AI-generated template and every brand extraction counts here.
  • Exports this month. Email exports (HTML or ZIP) from the builder. On higher plans this shows as unlimited.
  • Test emails this month. Test sends from the builder and campaign editors.
  • Emails sent this month. Your account-wide sending pool, counting promotional and transactional email together. Click View breakdown to split the total into promotional (campaigns and automations) and transactional (triggered and API sends). This meter is hidden on plans that cannot send email.
  • AI tokens this month. Only shown on plans with a monthly AI token budget.
  • Brands. How many brands you have created against your plan's brand limit. This is an account total, not a monthly counter.

All monthly counters reset on the 1st of each month. Email and brand limits are account-wide across all your brands.

What's included in your plan​

Below the meters on the account page, the What's included in your plan list shows every gated product area: brands, email templates, signatures, subscribers and lists, campaigns, AI prompting, web templates, sending domains, reports, Brand Brain, automations, transactional email, AI replies, and DMARC monitoring.

Features included in your plan show a check mark. Locked features show a lock icon and a badge naming the plan that unlocks them, for example Growth+. Locked areas also show a lock in the dashboard navigation.

Transactional overage​

Promotional sending stops at your plan's cap. Transactional email on paid plans keeps sending past the cap, and anything over the limit is billed as overage. If that happens, the account page shows a note with the number of transactional emails sent over your limit this month.

When you hit your AI generation allowance, new template builds and URL extractions pause until the counter resets or you upgrade. Upgrade any time with the Upgrade plan button on the dashboard or account page.
