Create a campaign
A campaign sends one of your email templates to your subscribers. Campaigns live at /campaigns and always belong to a brand, so each brand keeps its own campaign history and stats.
Start a new draft
- Go to Campaigns.
- Pick a brand in the brand picker at the top. The list shows that brand's campaigns with their status, sent count, open rate, and click rate.
- Click New campaign. A draft called "Untitled campaign" opens in the composer.
Rename the campaign
Click the title at the top of the composer and type a new name. It saves when you press Enter or click away. The name is internal only; recipients never see it. You can rename a campaign while it is a draft or scheduled, but not after it starts sending.
The composer saves as you go
Every field auto-saves when you leave it, and a "Saved" timestamp appears near the send button. You can close a draft and come back to it any time from the campaign list.
Subject and preheader
In the Subject & preview section:
- Subject: what recipients see in their inbox. Required before you can send.
- Preheader: optional preview text that some inboxes show after the subject line.
Pick a template
The Template section shows this brand's saved email designs from the email builder. Click one to select it; a live preview appears below with a Desktop and Mobile toggle.
A few things to know about the preview:
- Merge fields like
{{first_name}}stay visible in the preview. They are filled in per recipient at send time. - While the campaign is a draft, the preview always shows the template's latest version. If you edit the design in the email builder, the change flows into the campaign automatically, right up until you send. Once the campaign ships, the content is locked as a record of what was actually delivered.
If the section says there are no saved templates for this brand yet, create one in the email builder first, then come back.
Choose the audience
In the Audience section, pick who receives the campaign:
- All subscribers: everyone subscribed to this brand.
- Specific lists: tick one or more of the brand's subscriber lists.
If the brand has no lists yet, the section links you to the Subscribers page where you can create them. Whichever option you choose, only subscribers with subscribed status are included, and addresses on your suppression list are skipped automatically at send time.
Delete a draft
While a campaign is a draft or scheduled, a trash button appears in the header. Clicking it opens a confirmation dialog; confirming with Delete removes the campaign and all its tracking data. Emails that were already sent are unaffected.
Next steps
Once the subject, template, and audience are set, choose when the campaign goes out in Send, schedule, and send-time optimization, or split your audience with an A/B test first.
