The templates workspace

The templates workspace at /email-templates shows every email template you have saved for the selected brand. From here you can create new templates, reopen existing ones in the builder, and delete the ones you no longer need.

Switching brands​

Templates are organized per brand. The brand picker in the header shows which brand you are working on; click it to switch. Your selection is remembered as you move between workspace pages, so campaigns, signatures and templates all stay in the same brand context.

If you have no brands yet, the picker shows a Create a brand link instead.

The template grid​

Each template appears as a card showing:

  • The template name
  • A type tag such as Newsletter, Promo, Welcome, Receipt, Event, Cold or Transactional. The tag is inferred from the template's name, so a template called "Black Friday sale" is tagged Promo automatically.
  • A brand chip with the brand's logo or initials
  • When the template was last updated

Hover a card to reveal its actions:

  • Load opens the template in the builder. Clicking anywhere on the card does the same.
  • The trash icon deletes it.

Searching and sorting​

Use the search field above the grid to filter templates by name as you type.

The Sort menu offers three orders:

  • Last updated (the default): most recently edited first
  • Recently created: newest first
  • A to Z: alphabetical by name

Creating a template​

Click New template in the header, or the dashed New template card at the end of the grid. SmartMailing creates a template named "Untitled template" (numbered if that name is taken), attaches it to the brand currently selected in the brand picker, and opens the builder's start screen.

Because the brand is already selected, the builder can skip the brand-selection step and take you straight to that brand's template picker. See Start a new template for the full flow.

Deleting a template​

  1. Hover the template card and click the trash icon.
  2. In the Delete template dialog, confirm by clicking Delete template.

Deleting a template removes it permanently and cannot be undone.

tip

If the grid says "No templates for this brand yet", check the brand picker first. Templates belong to a brand, so a template you created under another brand will not appear until you switch to it.
